Candidate Forum – Climate change

Candidate Forum for Mayor and School Board

Thursday. March 7, 2019
7:00, snacks and conversation at 6:30

The Boone County Commission Chambers in the Government Center next to the Court House

Mayoral candidates and at least two of three School Board candidates

This forum is centered on climate change. The candidates have already been provided with a list of questions which will be read and then they can each respond. With Columbia studying a climate action plan this is an important issue in the Mayoral race. The school Board candidates have been given questions related to school planning and curriculum.

The program is sponsored by Peaceworks, Renew Missouri and Sierra Club.

This event is free and open to the public.

(Note that the League will also host our own Candidate Forum on Wednesday, March 20 at the Columbia Public Library. That forum will have a more general focus.)
