Members of the League of Women Voters in Kansas City have studied the need for paid family leave policies and legislation in Missouri and will present their findings.

This presentation will explore the connection between mental health and substance use. We will discuss how to start these conversations with youth. Adults play a powerful role when it comes to positively influencing young people. Participants will learn what to look for, how to help, and specific factors for working with different age groups.

Kim Dude-Lammy, former director of the Wellness Resource Center

Heather Harlan, a family support group facilitator for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Columbia and a member of the Board of Directors for the Youth Community Coalition

Laura Powell, a Prevention Coordinator Lead for Compass Health Network
