Learn & Share This Week: Drug Sentencing Reform

League Learn & Share is a great way to go to your first League meeting. There’s a set topic of discussion, with a couple of League members who have agreed to lead the discussion. Who Own$ the Election?

On Tuesday September 18, the Civil Liberties Committee will present “Who Own$ the Election?” as part of its Constitution Day celebration. Two MU professors from the Department of Political Science, Jeff Milyo and Marvin Overby, will explore the effect of the landmark Citizens United v Federal Election Commission on financing the 2012 campaigns. The event will take place in the County Commission Cambers of the Roger B. Wilson Boone County Government Center, 801 E. Walnut. Access the Chambers from the Ash & 8th St. side due to construction. Light refreshments 6:30 PM, program 7:00 PM.
