Public Forum on the Ichthus (religious) Symbol at the Gulf War Memorial

Presenters:

Professor Bill Fisch, MU School of Law, specialist in the Constitution

Keynote: a neutral presentation of the constitutional principles involved and an overview of the caselaw in the area

Followed by:

Bart Tichenor, now a sole practitioner and

Brent Hayden, Hayden & Byrne

Presentations on opposing views about the ichthus symbol on the Gulf War Memorial on the Boone County Courthouse plaza.

David Lile, KFRU, will moderate.

The event is free and open to the public.

 Come join the fun!  This is a great opportunity to see old friends or make new ones!

The League will provide beverages (soft drinks and wine). Members are encouraged to bring a favorite appetizer or dessert to share.  (But don’t feel that you must bring something.)

For those who wish to participate, we will also be accepting socks (in original package,please) or travel size toiletries to give to the Room at the Inn for homeless persons.

*(Note: the handicapped accessible entrance at the lower level of the church can be reached by driving around the west end of the building.)
