On April 7, 2015, there will be a general municipal election. Along with school board candidates and Boone Hospital board candidates, who all registered Columbia voters can vote for, voters in Wards 1, 2 and 6 will be voting for their representative on the Columbia City Council.
Normally, only two of Columbia’s six City wards’ Council members are up for election each year, but the Ward 1 candidates are competing to fill a seat vacated by Ginny Chadwick.
There will also be two ballot issues: an electrical infrastructure bond and a stormwater fee increase.
