This program will offer a local perspective on economic issues of poverty and relates to this year’s One Read book Nomadland.

Lunch & Learn programs are a monthly event in cooperation with the Columbia Public Library.
Although no lunch is provided, attendees are welcome to bring their own or purchase snacks at the library kiosk.


National Voter Registration Day

Members of the League Voter Service Committee will provide voter registration service and answer questions about voting.



Income Inequality – CAT TV

 “The Implications of Income Inequality”

A panel consisting of Cande Iveson, Technical Instructor, University of Missouri and Amanda Becker, MU Student – Cover the Gap Research Project, will discuss the topic.

Randy Picht, Executive Director, Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute, will be the moderator.

The program will originate on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m. and will be replayed on CAT TV (Mediacom Channel 85; Charter Communications Channel 983; and CenturyTel Prism Channel 98. Replay times on CAT TV are at 7 am on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and 7:30 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday).
