Annette Triplett, Executive Director, PedNet Coalition
They will talk about what they have been doing to improve transit and transportation in Columbia and will discuss how transportation needs are essential to social equity, daily living, and access to voting.
Although lunch is not provided, you are welcome to bring your own or purchase it at the store.

Columbia School Board Candidates and Ballot Issues
Candidates: Paul Rainsberger, James Whitt, Sarah Dubbert, Joseph Toepke, and Jan Mees
The five candidates are competing for two seats.
Dr. Peter Stiepleman, superintendent of the Columbia Public Schools will speak in favor of the Columbia Public Schools ballot issues for a 65-cent school levy increase and the no-tax-increase bond issue. If there is organized opposition to the ballot issues, the League will invite a representative to speak.

Fourth Ward candidates are Ian Thomas and Daryl Dudley.
Mayoral candidates are Skip Walther and Brian Treece.
David Lile from KFRU will moderate the first forum and Renee Hulshof will moderate the second forum. KFRU will broadcast both forums live
and the Columbia Daily Tribune will have a live webcast of the events.
Both events are cosponsored by the Columbia Public Library.

This program will introduce the new Columbia transit system which will begin operations on August 4th. CoMo Connect will replace the current hub-and-spoke bus transit system with a north/south, east/west interlinking transit system. It will increase the area covered by the City’s transit system and will allow more flexibility for riders.
