March 27: Kilowat Ours Film AND Speaker!

We’re teaming up with the Osage Chapter of the Sierra Club to offer a free screening of the documentary Kilowat Ours: A Plan for Re-Energizing America…AND Tom O’Connor, owner of H2O’C Engineering, will give a talk “How I Cut My Electric Bill 80%.” Tuesday March 27, 7:00 p.m. (refreshments 6:30) at the Columbia Public Library Friends Room.

“Planning Columbia’s Future Energy Needs” by Mike Matthes, City Manager and Barbara Buffaloe, Sustainability Director, City of Columbia.

What’s Columbia’s energy future? Come and hear Mr. Matthes’ views on Columbia’s current energy policies and programs and his vision for the future. Learn about new energy initiatives such as the PACE program. Barbara Buffaloe will give an update on the major energy efficiency grant she has been managing and implementation of the Mayor’s Climate Protection Agreement.
