This program will focus on the role of Black women in the struggle for suffrage. The League of Women Voters of Columbia-Boone County, the Columbia chapter of the NAACP and the Columbia Public Library are cosponsoring this event.
This is one of several local programs in this year commemorating the Centennial of the 19th Amendment to give historical context to the struggle for voting rights and remind citizens of the importance of voting in our Democracy.
This event is free and open to the public.
