Dan Atwill, Presiding Commissioner, Boone County
Scott Charton, Yes for Good Roads Committee

This is an opportunity to learn about the Boone County Roads & Bridges Tax. The election will be held on Tuesday, August 8.

The two candidates for the 50th State Legislative District — Sara Walsh (R) and Michela Skelton (D) –  have been invited to “meet and greet” attendees (no debate).  We do not yet have confirmation if either or both will attend.

This event is free and open to the public.


How to Run for Office

This workshop is designed to give participants an overview of what it takes to run for elected office.

Our speakers are former elected officials:
Barbara Hoppe is former Columbia City Council person
Karen Miller is a former Boone County Commissioner
Nancy Copenhaver is a former Missouri State Representative

This event is free and open to the public.

If you know anyone who is interested in running for office, please encourage them to attend this workshop!
